The David DeJesus situation was something I believed was in the top three things to do this offseason to
address either to keep him or make room for him to play regularly or to ship him out and save that
money that he is due to make which is about $5 million.
It’s rather obvious that the Rays outfield is heavily crowded with very good talent. From the likes of
veteran Desmond Jennings, outfield sensation Kevin Kiermaier, solid player in Brandon Guyer,
newcomer in Steven Souza Jr. that should make a splash once playing regularly and in the minors players
like Mikie Mahtook and Boog Powell.
Possible destinations that would suit DeJesus include: Texas Rangers (seem to have no clear Left Fielder
it seems), Philadelphia Phillies (could use a corner outfielder and veteran presence like DeJesus), and the
Toronto Blue Jays (Injury to Michael Saunders).
DeJesus’ veteran leadership, presence & charisma on and off the field is needed for any team and is
certainly appreciated not only from the Rays themselves but any of the other 29 teams but for the
better of this ball club he needs to be shipped out for our younger players to develop the talent they
have just like he got to develop his own talent to who he has become today.

I am an avid sports fan, and my favorite sport of all is baseball. Baseball is my true love and passion. The rays have become my favorite team for the dedications the organization has to become successful. All the players and coaches and executives of the organization are people I look up to and someday I hope to become a MLB general manager for any of the 30 teams. I hope everyone that reads my blog enjoys what's on it and if there are any questions, comments or concerns. Just email me at email@example.com
